In the U.S. the population aged 65 and older numbered 54.1 million in 2019. 77% of older adults want to remain in their own home for the long term. The responsibility for caring for the older adults is shouldered by millions of family caregivers who are unpaid and are sandwiched with responsibilities of jobs, their own families and taking care of their elderly loved ones. At Carenami, our goal is to alleviate the burden on family caregivers by developing technologies that can help older adults live independently with dignity.
